Old appliance take-back & disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste. As a distributor of electrical equipment, we hereby inform you, in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), about your options for returning old devices free of charge and about your obligations regarding disposal.
The symbol of the crossed-out trash can On a device, its packaging or accompanying documents means: This device must not be disposed of via unsorted municipal waste (household waste) at the end of its service life, but must be sent for separate collection.
Free returns through us
You can return old devices to us free of charge:
- When purchasing a new device (1:1 return): When you purchase a new electrical appliance from us, we will take back an old appliance of the same type, which essentially performs the same functions, free of charge. If you are ordering a massage chair, please let us know when placing your order that you would like to return an old appliance – we will then arrange collection with you.
- Small old appliances (0:1 take-back): We will take back old devices that are no larger than 25 cm in any external dimension (e.g. hand massagers) free of charge in household quantities, even if you do not purchase a new device from us.
For the return of small old devices, please contact our customer service – we will provide you with a free shipping label.
Public collection and return points
Regardless of whether you return your old devices to us, you can also dispose of them free of charge at public waste disposal facilities (e.g., municipal recycling centers). A directory of collection and take-back points near you can be found on the website of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Register (stiftung elektro-altgeräte register). www.ear-system.de.
Deletion of personal data
Please note: You are responsible for deleting personal data on the old devices to be disposed of (e.g., in app-connected devices or stored user profiles) before returning them.
batteries and accumulators
Used batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not permanently enclosed in the old device (e.g., from remote controls) must be removed from the device and disposed of separately before being returned. Batteries and rechargeable batteries also do not belong in household waste: You can return them free of charge to municipal collection points and anywhere batteries are sold. Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol of the heavy metal (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead).
