Q: Will the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow fit through my door — how much space does it need?

A door width of 76 cm or more is sufficient for delivery. You can find the exact dimensions (upright and in a lying position, including the necessary wall clearance) at the top of this page under "Dimensions & Space Requirements". Unsure? Send us your room dimensions to service@naipo.de — we'll be happy to check.

Q: For what body size is the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow suitable?

The Tai Chi Flow is designed for heights of 150–195 cm — ensuring that the rollers and air cushions target the correct zones from neck to feet. The maximum weight capacity is 130 kg. Important: This is a deliberately conservative guideline, guaranteeing a perfect fit – most models also work well for heights of 190 cm and above. Our tip for taller individuals: try it out in Hamburg beforehand.

But a real massage is better, isn't it?

An armchair is no substitute for physiotherapy or treatment by a person. Anyone who wants to relieve a specific muscle tension should continue to go there, and that's perfectly fine.

What the chair can do, however, is this: It's ready at 10:30 in the evening, no appointment necessary, no travel required, and no one else needs to be available. There's no extra charge for a second person in the household. That's precisely how the calculation above is based, not on the claim that it's a better massage.

In our survey, the majority said yes—though not exactly: In their view, two to three sessions in the chair are a substitute for a salon visit. Therefore, the calculation above compares not the effect, but the price of the same application time.

Anonymous paper survey, 2022 to 2025, approximately 5.000 questionnaires. Buyers and visitors of our exhibitions.

Tai Chi Flow by NAIPO

The perfect balance of technology and tranquility.

Designed for daily relaxation – calm, precise and noticeably powerful.

Tai Chi Flow combines traditional Tuina and Shiatsu techniques with modern 2D massage technology. The patented Tai Chi splint (135 cm) follows your spine and creates flowing, circular movements – inspired by the balance of Asian movement theory.

With 24 precisely controlled air cushions on the shoulders, arms, hips, legs, and feet, the chair offers a complete full-body massage. Each massage zone is adjustable to five intensity levels and is complemented by pleasant warmth in the lumbar and calf areas.

The open foot design with double rotating massage plates provides relief even for larger foot sizes (44-45) and offers variable leg lengths of up to 16 cm thanks to the spring-loaded telescopic function. Ideal for body heights between 150 and 195 cm and a load capacity of up to 130 kg.

Using the tablet controller, you can control nine automatic programs or manual modes such as rubbing, neck twisting, or shiatsu. The Tai Chi Flow operates whisper-quietly with only 90 W of power—designed for durability and daily use.

Its robust half-PU material, zero-gravity reclining function, and Bluetooth connectivity make it an armchair that not only relaxes but also completes your room.

FAQs (14)

Ask a question

For which body sizes is the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow suitable?

The size specifications are intentionally conservative guidelines: Within the indicated ranges, the fit is optimal — and even people over 190 cm tall sit comfortably and without problems in most NAIPO models. If you want to be absolutely sure, test the fit yourself by sitting in the NAIPO showroom in Hamburg or in a nearby relaxation lounge. All locations at a glance.

Is it possible to try out the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow before buying it?

Yes — and trying out NAIPO's seating is an experience: The main Hamburg locations are Retail 2.0 stores instead of classic showrooms — with private spaces, select beverages, and a relaxed atmosphere, directly on the Alster (Ballindamm) and in HafenCity, just minutes from the Elbphilharmonie. A hidden gem that can be perfectly combined with a visit to Hamburg. In addition, there are NAIPO Relax Lounges and Testing Points at over 40 locations in Germany — all addresses in the Store Locator.

Does a massage chair like the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow help with tension?

Regular massages can help loosen tension, stimulate blood circulation, and reduce stress—many customers use their massage chair specifically to relax after long workdays. However, a massage chair is not a substitute for medical treatment: In case of acute discomfort or health concerns, please seek medical advice beforehand.

Is NAIPO one of the best massage chair brands — even compared to Japanese manufacturers?

NAIPO is one of Europe's leading massage chair brands: developed in Hamburg, with its own software (NAIPO OS), proprietary patents, and state-of-the-art robotic massage technology — awarded the Plus X Award 2025 as "Best Brand of the Year," the German Brand Award 2026 (Innovation and Brand Creation categories), the iF Design Award 2020, the Red Dot Award 2021 (oFlexiS massage device), and boasting the most positive reviews of any massage chair brand in Europe. While premium Japanese manufacturers build excellent chairs in the upper price segment, NAIPO offers advanced massage technology at significantly lower prices — and with over 40 test locations, more opportunities to try out the chairs than any other massage chair brand in Europe.

How do shipping, installment payments and customer service work at NAIPO?

Shipping of massage chairs within Germany is generally free of charge – via Kühne+Nagel and also with NAIPO's own logistics. For assembly and after-sales service, we offer a dedicated technical service: If something breaks, NAIPO technicians will take care of it directly – a key difference compared to marketplace or import providers without their own service. Installment payments are available through Klarna and Splitit; the terms and conditions are displayed at checkout or by the payment provider. The team can answer any questions at service@naipo.de.

What should you pay attention to when buying a massage chair?

The most important factors are the available space (be sure to factor in your lying position), the massage technique and program selection, the fit for your body size—and a personal test sit before purchasing. All technical details can be found in the product description; if you have any further questions, the NAIPO team can be reached at service@naipo.de.

Who is behind NAIPO — and where is the development taking place?

NAIPO is a majority-owned German technology company specializing in massage chairs and massage devices. Development, team, and showroom are located in Hamburg — and the products can be experienced live in NAIPO Relax Lounges throughout Germany.

Is the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow also available refurbished?

Many NAIPO models are regularly available as tested, refurbished devices—a sustainable alternative to new ones. Current availability is shown on the respective product page in the shop; the service team is also happy to provide information at service@naipo.de.

Will the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow fit through my door — how much space does it need?

A door width of at least [size] is sufficient for delivery. 76 cmYou can find the exact dimensions (upright and in a lying position, including the necessary distance from the wall) at the top of this page under "Dimensions & Space Requirements". Unsure? Send us your room dimensions to service@naipo.de — we'll be happy to check.

For what body size is the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow suitable?

The Tai Chi Flow is suitable for body sizes of 150–195 cm Designed so that rollers and air cushions target the right zones from the neck to the feet. The maximum load capacity is... 130 kgImportant: This is a deliberately conservative guideline, guaranteeing a perfect fit – most models also work well for heights of 190 cm and above. How much electricity does a massage chair use?

Significantly less than many people think: During a massage, modern models typically consume between 100 and 200 watts, and only a few watts in standby mode. With 30 minutes of daily use, this is roughly equivalent to the energy consumption of a television—a few euros per month.

Can I try out the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow before buying it?

Yes — in the NAIPO showroom in Hamburg's HafenCity and at many partner locations in the DACH region. View all locations and simply drop by or book an appointment.

Can I pay for the NAIPO Tai Chi Flow in installments — and what are the shipping costs?
