NAIPO redefines retail: First “Experience Store” with innovative relaxation lounge concept opens in Hamburg’s HafenCity
NAIPO sets new standards in brick-and-mortar retail: With the opening of the expanded flagship store at Grasbrookpark 1, the company presents for the first time the “NAIPO Experience Center” – a symbiosis of high-end technology, digital advice and haptic product experience.
Retail 2.0: Testing instead of just looking In a time when traditional retail is under pressure, NAIPO is focusing on the concept of "showrooming". The centerpiece of the store is the newly developed Privacy Test Booth (Relax Lounge) next to the "Open Space" area. These secluded areas were specifically designed to allow customers to test the highly complex massage chair technology undisturbed.
"A premium massage chair costing several thousand euros is an investment in your health. You don't buy that on a whim.", explains David Eberst. "In our new showroom booth, we offer the space for intensive test sitting under real conditions, including the integration of our new Aroma line, which can practically only be tested there and walks directly over the chair."
Technical necessity of the cabin structure The structural separation in the sales area follows a functional logic of specialist retailing:

Acoustic check: The integrated surround sound systems of the armchairs must be able to be tested undisturbed by the customer.

Aroma separation: In the booths, customers can test the new “Wellness Club” collection (aromas and essences) in conjunction with the armchairs without the different fragrances mixing throughout the store.
Synergies between hardware and lifestyle In addition to showcasing the hardware, the store serves as a showcase for the entire NAIPO ecosystem. This includes the exclusive merchandise label "NAIPO Wellness Club," under which high-quality clothing and the aforementioned aromatherapy products will be sold in the store.
With the Experience Store in HafenCity, NAIPO is consolidating its position as an innovation leader in the field of wellness technology and demonstrating how modern specialist stores can equip brick-and-mortar retail for the future through targeted product experiences.
The development is to be implemented as soon as possible and is expected to be finalized by the end of 2024.
